SONICWALL NSA 5700 HIGH AVAILABILITY (02-SSC-1715) High Availability (HA) allows two identical Dell SonicWALL security appliances running SonicOS to be configured to provide a reliable, continuous connection to the public Internet. One Dell SonicWALL device is configured as the primary unit, and an identical Dell SonicWALL device is configured as the Secondary unit. If the Primary Dell SonicWALL fails, the Secondary Dell SonicWALL takes over to secure a reliable connection between the protected network and the Internet. Two appliances configured in this way are also known as a High Availability Pair (HA Pair). SonicWall Generation 7 (Gen 7) Network Security Appliance (NSa) next-generation firewalls (NGFWs) offer medium- to large-sized enterprises industry-leading performance at the lowest total cost of ownership in their class. With comprehensive security features such as intrusion prevention, VPN, application control, malware analysis, URL filtering, DNS Security, Geo-IP, and Bot-net services, it protects the perimeter from advanced threats without becoming a bottleneck. The Gen 7 NSa Series has been built from the ground up with the latest hardware components, all designed to deliver multi-gigabit threat prevention throughput even for encrypted traffic. Featuring a high port density including multiple 40 GbE and 10 GbE ports, the solution supports network and hardware redundancy with high availability and dual power supplies. The Gen 7 NSa Series runs on SonicOS 7.0, a new operating system built from the ground up to deliver a modern user interface, intuitive workflows, and user-first design principles. SonicOS 7.0 provides multiple features designed to facilitate enterprise-level workflows. It offers easy policy configuration, zero-touch deployment, and flexible management all of which allow enterprises to improve both their security and operational efficiency.

FEATURES

  • Please note that as this is a High Availability Unit, you cannot use it alone as a primary device. High Availability allows two identical SonicWall appliances running SonicOS to be configured to provide a reliable, continuous connection. One SonicWall device is configured as the Primary unit, and an identical SonicWall device is configured as the Secondary unit. If the Primary SonicWall fails, the secondary SonicWall takes over to secure a reliable connection.
  • Deploy a proven NGFW solution with highest performance and port density (including 40 GbE and 10 GbE connectivity) in its class.
  • Gain visibility and inspect encrypted traffic, including TLS 1.3, to block evasive threats coming from the Internet — all without compromising performance.
  • Protect your enterprise with integrated security, including malware analysis, cloud app security, URL filtering and reputation services.
  • Automatically block threats that use encrypted protocols such as TLS 1.3, securing networks from the most advanced attacks.
